How to close facial pores

If you want to have firmer skin on your face, then the easiest way to get it is to close the pores on your face, and it’s fairly simply to close facial pores.  If you have large pores, then you will probably find yourself in a constant battle to keep them closed.  Of course the simplest way to close facial pores involves purchasing a toner from your local beauty supply store, but there are also household products you can use to make your own.  If you do decide to purchase a toner, just make sure that you choose one with a label that says it’s supposed to minimize your pores.

Closing facial pores with a toner

If you have naturally large pores, then you will probably need to constantly apply the toner, even up to three or more times per day.  Use a cotton ball to apply the toner to your face.  You will probably want to use some of the other methods for closing your pores to help keep your skin looking firm.

Making your own pore closing paste

If you’re feeling a bit more adventuresome, then you might want to make your own paste.  It’s certainly cheaper than many of the toners you can purchase, and it’s not hard to make your own paste.  All you will need is some almonds and rose water.  Start by soaking about 10 or 15 almonds in some tap water overnight.  This will soften them up and make it easier to crush them.  The next morning, peel the outer skin off of the almonds and then crush them into a very fine powder.  Once you have your powder, add about 15 drops of rose water into the powder and mix it up to make a paste.  You can always add a little bit of buttermilk if the texture bothers you, but it’s not necessary.  Apply this paste to your face every other day for at least a month to close your pores and add elasticity to your skin.

Using ice to close pores

An ice pack will also work wonders to close the pores on your face.  Just wrap some ice cubes in a wash cloth and apply it to your face for about five or 10 minutes.  You’ll probably want to use the ice method after your hot shower in the morning because hot water tends to make those pores even bigger than they already are.  Ice is a great way to combat this problem.

Using pineapple juice to close pores

If you need another quick fix to close your pores, pineapple juice also works wonders.  However, it must be fresh pineapple juice in order for you to get all of the pore-tightening benefits.  Just take a pineapple and squeeze the juice out of it.  Apply the juice to your face and wait.  If you don’t have a pineapple, then cucumber juice also works well.  You can even try placing slices of cucumber all over your face if you don’t have a way to juice the cucumber.
